MINIATURE HORSE SHOW HALTERS

I collect show halters like I collect shoes! As we now only ever show a maximum of four horses I have decided to have a major downsizing. A lot of these are one offs and will not be repeated making them quite unique. The diamante ones are not glass paste but genuine Swarovski crystals and are ALL CLAW SET (not stuck on like cheaper types being sold that fall off after the first use) so are extremely glittery and keep their good look unlike the cheaper ones-they really are stunning and need to be seen in person to be appreciated.
MOST are unused, about three have been used on a couple of occasions.

All of the halters are imported from the USA and are top quality makes like "Showtime", "BKM", "SED -Supreme Equine Design" "Scottsdale"and "Alvarado Inc". These makes are all used by exhibitors at the AMHA Nationals.Detailed /close up photographs are available for all the halters and advice as to fitting as every head is different. The nose measurements are from end of nose to end of nose measured UNDERNEATH the nose. The head measurements are nose over head to nose on the other side on the first hole and then the last hole. If you are measuring your horse for a halter measure just under and just to the side of the nose bone over nose to the same position on the other side (NOT all the way round). The head measurements are from the same nose bone place over head down to the other side to meet the nose bone.

H 3  Closed ring design. Nose is black  leather mounted with a stunning sterling silver delicately engraved bar with raised flowers.In addition is an unusual feature where the noseband is cut out in three places in a zig zag deign with black backing behind.Sides are beautifully rolled. Closed ring design. Nose 6.75" head 19.5" - 22.5" Size M. Top quality made by SED-Supreme Equine Design (USA).This is LOVELY quality leather-looks more like patent leather because of its shine and very unusual! Do not be put off by the fact it is leather it looks VERY nice on-Will fit minis about 30-32" approx and very useful for disguising a slightly heavier head (fine halters make them look even larger!) Good for showing Spotties too. UNUSED £35
 
H 4 Diamante show bridle blue and gold. Closed ring design. Sides are very striking with gold beads and iridescent blue miracle beads and shaped gold ferules. Nose is black patent leather and petrol blue metallic insert set with 49 claw set clear Swarovski crystals. Has a centre oval one with a design going round both parts to make a striking centre piece. Very pretty in sunlight and under indoor lights. Nose 6.5" head 18" - 22.5" Size S (weanling/yearling /ultra mini sized) Made by Alvarado Inc.THIS IS LOVELY! UNUSED £65
 
H 5 Intricate silver bar with raised gold scroll feather design. Set with a single imitation emerald in the centre-lovely for chestnuts and palominos in particular. Open ring design. Sides are set with 7 gold shaped ferules and silver beads. 6.5" nose 18"-22.5" adjustable head. Very glittery in the sun or under lights. H 6 Diamante double row halter. Stunning Swarovski claw set crystals-76 of them set in two rows. Closed ring design. Blue metallic patent base piped with black patent. Very glittery  and delicate. Sides have gold beads and iridescent miracle beads in blue. Size S 6.5" nose 18-22.5". Made by Alvarado Inc UNUSED £65 
 

 H 8. PREMIUM stunning show halter. Wide almost fully Swarovski  covered nose with a truly gorgeous  arrangement of 232 small claw set Swarovski clear crystals set in four rows on top of a metallic royal blue leather noseband (blue is barely visible)-an incredible effect. Nose is padded patent leather stitched back. Three silver ferrules on the cable sides , Size M or adult 23"-27" head. 8" nose. Chrome open ring (but tight) fittings. Made by "BKM" so you know the quality!This was another exceedingly expensive halter (in excess of £150)  UNUSED £85
 
H10. To suit category 'B' mini or chunkier Mini. Gold /black patent leather base set with 89 claw set rainbow crystals in pale pink, pale yellow, pale green, pale blue and pale purple arranged in an offset double row. H 15. Much sought after "SHOWTIME" crystal halter. Black nose piped with silver and set with an amazing wave design with clear Swarovski crystals interspersed with 20 ruby red crystals in the dip of the waves. VERY delicate suitable for all occasions. Plain sides , Size M 19"-22.5" head.7.5" nose. Chrome open ring (but tight) fittings. This was an exceedingly expensive halter (in excess of £160) and although it has been used it is IMMACULATE and looks NEW £80 

H 17. PREMIUM stunning show halter. Wide raised fully Swarovski  covered nose with a truly gorgeous  arrangement of 209 claw set Swarovski clear crystals on top of a metallic turquoise leather noseband (turquoise is barely visible)-an incredible effect. H 25. "BKM" weanling ,yearling or Ultra Mini sized halter. Extremely dainty (narrower than usual adult) and hard to find. Black very shiny plain patent leather nose -very padded underneath. The nose is VERY soft and flexible so fits tiny noses really well. Both gold, bronze and silver ferules down the sides. Open rings but they are very small so very safe. Size S. 6.5" nose. Head 18.5" - 22.5" USED  but looks IMMACULATE £60

Very unusual. good adjustment to fit many horses-rolled throat. Measurements are 18" around the nose will adjust 3" smaller and 2" larger. Head 30" will adjust a lot smaller or larger. Nylon lining throughout prevents rug rubs and hair sticking to lining! Double Velcro fastenings on neck with anti release flap to stop other horses biting the fittings and undoing them when they play. Freshly cleaned. A quality rug which fits very well. In extremely good condition and very waterproof in heavy rain too-except there is some rusting to the cross surcingle fittings and the navy blue colouring has faded in the sun-all of which is just cosmetic and does not affect use. £23

R18. 3'9" FANTASTIC QUILTED BLACK VELVET SHOW RUG. This is a TOP QUALITY £90 show rug. The quilted velvet is VERY hardwearing and amazingly hay/shavings and hairs just shake off or can be lightly brushed off with your hand. The rug is quilted cotton lined and has a wide tummy flap which is easily done up or removed by the show ring. Solid brass buckles. This rug was made by the Equine Clothing Company and is a total one off as it has four binding layers, black-burgundy, metallic gold and a cream with gold edging thick plait. In extremely good condition and really is a rug to admire. BEAUTIFUL CONDITION as only ever used at shows (now changed colour scheme) £35.
 

R19. 2'9" (but label says 3'0"-comes up small in sizing) TOP QUALITY "WARRIOR" COMBO ULTRA HEAVY TURNOUT RUG. Extremely robust with many useful design features. Bright red 1200 denier (extra strong) breathable rip stop outer.400gram filling. Satinised pewter fittings. Huge tail flap specially shaped to cover their bottom but allows horses to fully lift their tail-no pooey bottoms! padded fleece wither. Detachable neck cover to match with anti rub mane lining-easily clipped on and off. Action pleats and anti slip shoulders and chest to eliminate all rubs. A very comfortable rug to wear and great in the harshest of weather. Cost £77 .In EXTREMELY good condition-only used twice so totally as new except for a VERY tiny little patch where a mouse has nibbled the lining-but mended so cannot see this-just thought I would mention this. Designed by Tanya Llarigan especially for miniature horses. A VERY NICE RUG still even has its label on! (this may well come with an additional spare neck cover as I am fairly sure I bought one-worth £25 no charge if I include it-need to have another look) IMMACULATE AS NEW £50

Full nylon lined shoulders and action gussets for free movement  and no unsightly chest rubs. Unusual removable Velcro very large tail flap. Being removable can be washed to keep it clean without washing rug-great idea. Surcingles with elastic inserts for comfort. Nylon drip strip at base of rug-keeps lining dry. Sheepskin wither pad. NEVER USED. Too nice to turn out in-would make a warm waterproof show rug too. NEVER USED £24

R22. 3' COMBO TURNOUT RUG WITH WARM LINED NECK. Fantastic colour-sky blue covered in mint, royal blue and white daises bound in sky blue-really eye catching. This is a very substantial rug made from 1200 denier ripstop outer and 400 gram filling-very warm and ideal for clipped minis. Lined neck cover to eliminate rubs to mane. Unusual removable Velcro very large tail flap. Being removable can be washed to keep it clean without washing rug-great idea. Double chest straps in sky blue. Deep design. X surcingles action gussets, anti rub chest area and shoulder area. Very secure neck fastening. A quality rug-Teflon coated. Too nice to turn out-could also be a very warm waterproof show rug too (but manufactured as a heavyweight turnout rug). NEVER USED £34

R24. MEDIUM STABLE NECK COVER. This will attach to any stable rug with 'D' fittings (or you can easily add your own) by its elasticated clips. Very substantial and warm. Navy blue outer bound navy so tones in with most rugs. Used just a couple of occasions but has some small orange marks to the white lining-but this is cosmetic only and cannot be seen when worn. 1000 denier outer and 400 gram very thick filling, cotton lined.Quality made by Equine Clothing Company. £10

R25. 1'6" NEWBORN MINIATURE FOAL RUG. Super rug still labelled made by "Equitherm". Brand new brown with pale blue overcheck. Secure but quickly done up velcro fastenings. Shaped at rear to stop foalies treading on rug when they get up or ping around and allows mum to lick and push foal around by their tail still to feed. This will fit the tiniest little miniature foal from minute one! These very tiny newborn rugs are quite rare but save lives.  UNUSED £12.
 
R26. 3'9" FULL UNDER RUG with attached neck. Very warm with cross surcingles. Very well made. Adjustable clipped chest fasteners allowing you to adjust then simply clip close each time. Deep design (but not too deep so they get caught up) Might have been used once but does not look it. Totally as new. Great for clipped out horses in stable and field. Could be used as a stable rug on its own. £25 I also have this rug in 3'6 and 3'3 sizes see items R27 and R28

R31 ANTI RUB LYCRA BIB size large to fit 3'9 to 4'6 rug sizes as very adjustable and stretchy. Black and VERY well made with covered elasticated surcingle that fits behind elbow to keep bib in place with clip fastening. Stops wear to base of mane and bald patches and white marks to chest. This is in fact UNUSED BUT it was kept in the feed room NOT the tack room for a while and suffered two small patches of mice nibble-since repaired and not noticeable unless you search but just thought I would mention it. £8

R33. FOAL STABLE RUG 2'6  - TURQUOSE Blue nylon outer and fits foals very well. Warm Sherpa fleece lining. Not heavy but enough to give the foal much needed warmth . Immaculate condition which looks unused. £10

M20 CHAIN ACTION BOOTS.  USA IMPORTED and not available in this countryThese fit around the fetlock just like over reach boots but the difference is they have 6 little hanging chain weights on them-these can be removed and added one at a time so horse gets used to them. The chains them selves are VERY light but give just enough weight to encourage horses action to improve (builds necessary muscles up)  Very adjustable to fit all sizes and comfortable to wear (horses do not become spooked wearing them) VERY , VERY LIGHTLY USED £15 and still in bag 
 

M22 TAIL PROTECTION with applicator-SHORT heavyweight knitted sleeve with long strap to attach to surcingle. fitted in an unusual way-simply roll onto plastic sleeve, then push tail into applicator hold and slide applicator down so sleeve is fitted. Keeps tails pristine for showing. Can be left on for very long periods as does not fit tight unlike tail bandages that can cause impeded circulation and tail loss. these were very expensive when bought new because of their design. This is a short version -about 1/2 to 3/4 way down a tail. EXCELLENT CONDITION £10

H7.MUCH SOUGHT AFTER GREENGUARD GRAZING MUZZLE. These are truly excellent for minis and Shetlands that put on too much weight in the summer but you do not want to keep in. They fit onto ordinary headcollar with the leather straps provided but just cover the bottom of the nose. They CAN eat grass through this but reduces intake by about 75%. Drinking is obviously possible too. Unlike the horrible bucket muzzles( that steam up too) the muzzle cannot be wrenched off and has free flow air. This is a small size but can be tailor made to fit individuals but soaking in boiling water for 5 minutes and hand moulding (obviously remove leather fittings first!) If you have a laminitic prone equine or simply want to trim a waistline then this is a must. THEY ARE NOT CHEAP TO BUY (over £45!) but are the best design out, fit perfectly and very robust. This one has only been VERY lightly used so in BRILLIANT CONDITION £25

The following clippers are ABSOLUTELY IMMACUALTE they are in original boxes complete with all leads oil attachments etc unless stated. Because I have so many (too lazy to change blades!) some have only been used a handful of  times - if that!. They ARE ALL excellent clippers and I have copied their full spec so you can see what each set does to compare (so most is the manufacturers words NOT mine).

CLIPPER 2 - MOSER ARCO CLIPPER What Does It Come With?Cordless operated .Extra quick release battery pack .Precision blades adjust to 0.1mm .4 attachment combs included .Clipper oil Cleaning brush .Made in Germany These come in a cardboard type box not a hard carry case but with all attachments etc. There is a base that holds the batteries for charging etc. These are REALLY EXCELLENT clippers for fine work like faces, near manes, trimming backs of legs etc. Although VERY powerful they are NOT meant for a full clip even on a miniature but the beauty of these is that the blade adjusts in length at a flick of a switch so it'is like having five different blades fitted. Brilliant for heads, ears and adjusted down produces an extremely close clip for muzzles and eyes toCost £ 112 For sale @ £49 these are in a cardboard box with one blade
