Looking Glass Fabuella and Coors shire Carling, take part in the Alrewas Fund Raising Village Drive. We drive around the village and surrounding area stopping off at points for refreshment and photo shoots. Carling is about 18 hands but Ella is not worried she just strives to keep up with him. Miniatures are never outdone! This event is a yearly one and coincides with the Alrewas 'Open Gardens' event.
Santa swops his Reindeer for a Mini Proving that The Miniature Horse really is 'The Horse For Everyone'.
It's fun being tiny as everyone wants to be photographed with you. Here I am in the limelight again but this time with the Alrewas Brownie pack at a Christmas carol service-Ella
Hailstone Beyond Redemption (Remmie) as a yearling visits children at Cape Primary an inner city school near Birmingham in the West Midlands. That day nearly 500 children learnt about miniature horses and how to care for them. Most of these children had never seen a real horse before, let alone a miniature at 26" and were very excited especially those like 7 year old Kye (below) who were allowed to hold and brush her. Again this little yearling filly behaved beautifully this says so much for the temperament of these wonderful little equines.
Mrs. Yvonne Seymour (Teacher) and two of her year four pupils from Cape Primary - Simitra Chand (right) and Ifrah Ali (left) with Hailstone Ready To Rumble (Rusty), sporting his Christmas attire and quite at home in a classroom although going up the stairs was a little challenging! (pictured top left).Loud music, excited noisy chlidren and ballons etc did not bother this little colt at all.
(Pictured left) 'Rusty' raises over £60 for the school funds by allowing many, many, many! children to have their photo's taken with him.He was so beautifully behaved and attracted many admirers. |
