Rusty, is our latest addition to Dragonara, joining us in 2008 after a very successful first year in the show ring.
He is AMHA registered and now British Miniature Horse Society (BMHS) registered being allowed onto their stud book in liew of outstanding achievements in the show ring. He boasts one of the best pedigrees in the country, loaded with eight generations of national champions and national champion producers on both the top and bottom lines.
Rarely do you find such quality!
His sire is Aaprina In Ovations Mashena (see photos left), a 2004 AMHA World Top Five stallion and Top Five Honour Roll that year, as well as being a AMHA Western Region Champion. In the UK he notched up several titles before retiring to stud after one season, including the UK AMHA Supreme Champion Stallion of 2005 and the UK AMHA Reserve Supreme Horse of 2005, under AMHA senior judge Wayne Hipsley.
Rusty's dam is LR After Dark Lights Out by Nat. Ch. Martins Boozers After Dark and is also a Sids Rebel Grand-daughter, Sid being the AMHA Lifetime Futurity Sire.
Other great names in his pedigree include, Sierra Dawn Unos Monarch, Shadow Oaks Paul Bunyon, Scott Creek Standing Ovation, Brewers Orion Mystic, Orion Light Vant Huttnest, Roan Ranger, Skip A Star, Gold Melody Boy, Richters Apache, to name but a few.

This flamboyant but well mannered young stallion has attended just a few shows in 2009 and has already qualified for The Horse of The Year Show,The Royal International twice and has yet another championship under his belt. He has also qualified for the 'Champion of Champions' at the British Miniature Horse Society Breed Show in August.
